Andrew Killian Jr. was born about 1735-1737 to Andreas Killian and his first wife Magdalena Fischer, either in Pennsylvania or North Carolina, or somewhere in between. In April 1749, his father and older brothers were granted land on the south side of the Catawba River in Anson County, North Carolina.
On September 30, 1749, Andrew Jr. was granted 850 acres of land on Killian's Creek in Anson County. This land was sold on Oct. 20, 1765, and both he and his father signed the deed. Andreas "wrote his name in 'Dutch', Andrew, Jr. signed with an X."[1] Both Andreas and Andrew signed the deed since Andrew was under age when he received his patent.[2]
Some time in the 1760s, Andrew married - probably to a daughter of Simon Jonas and a sister of Maria Barbara Jonas (wife of William Whitenburger).[3]
Andrew Jr. was left a shilling by his father's will, written in 1785, while his sons (grandsons of Andreas) Andrew III and Daniel were left 1/14 of Andreas's unbequeathed estate. Speculation is that Andreas was either showing his displeasure that his son Andrew "went off with the Tories"[1] or protecting the land from seizure. Another possibility is that Andreas did not know whether or not Andrew lived, and so left him a shilling to preclude any confusion if he returned (Andrew's siblings received 1/7th of his father's estate, so Andrew's share was being given to his sons).
Death of "before 1785" for Andrew Jr. is based on speculation by descendants that he was dead before his father wrote his will.

↑ sources differ on this, but The Family of North Carolina Pioneer Andreas Killian gives persuasive evidence that Andrew's wife could not have been Maria/Mariah Barbara Jonas. Looking at information available, I think that maybe "sister Molly" was not the sister of Daniel and Andrew III but the sister of John Jonas & Maria Barbara, wife of Andrew Jr, but I have not seen the original will of John Jonas, son of Simon Jonas, where Molly Killian is named.

I was searching for information about a Fanny Killian and found a snippit from a forum post: "I am a decendent of Chloe Cline Clonts who is recorded to be the daughter of Michael Cline and Fannie Killian (dau of Andrew Killian, Jr.)." - but I couldn't find anything elase about them. Have you heard of a son Michael for this Andrew?
Note: Her husband is sometimes confused with his nephew Michael Klein (born 1761), son of Sebastian Klein. That Michael's wife was Fanny Killian.<ref>From the book Descendants of Michael Klein compiled by A.
