Biography

  • Crate lived on Killian Creek, Anson (now Gaston) County, North Carolina in 1753. She is written as Crate and appears as widowed on her father's will, no husband mentioned. George Hagar had died before Andreas Killian wrote his will so she inherited in her own right. She is shown as Margaret Hager on all records with George and mentioned in his will as Margaret.[1]

You wrote Margaret Hager is mentioned in her Father's Will. If you refer to Andreas Killian's profile you will see the Will transcript is posted and no where is a Margaret Hager mentioned. Andreas Killian had a daughter Margaret who married a Price. He also had a Son John who is referenced as being born in abt 1729. If in fact Margaret Hager is indeed Andreas daughter then DOBs for both she and John need to be adjusted. At the moment I suspect Margaret Hager is not Andreas daughter unless you have further Sources to prove otherwise.
