Abigail Kimball was baptized April 9, 1758, the daughter of Nathaniel Kimball and Martha Cross of Wenham, Essex, Massachusetts[1]
In 1784, Abigail married Nathaniel Holmes, the son of Peleg Holmes and Abigail Bradford of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia[2], and their children included:
Peleg (Capt) born April 15, 1785, who married Mary Trefry, daughter of Joshua P in January 1806, and then married Mary Lockhart of Hantsport, (moved to Hantsport in 1821) and died in December, 1856[2]
Nathaniel 2nd, born February 7, 1787, who married Mary Bartlett, daughter of Lemuel, and died March 21, 1839[2]
Elisha, born March 11, 1789, who married Lydia Trefry, daughter of Joshua P on April 4, 1811, who moved to Hantsport in 1823, and who died in 1870[3][2]
John, born April 13, 1791, an invalid who died unmarried[2]
Joseph, born June 8, 1793, who married Sarah Perry, daughter of Nathaniel and moved to Digby Neck and died in 1872[4][2]
Abigail, born July 27, 1797, who married John Trefry, 3rd, son of John 2nd[2]
Ruth born June 15, 1802, who married Captain William Hibbard 1st son of Captain Rufus[2]
Abigail Kimball Holmes died March 21, 1846 at the age of 87[2]
