Biography

The death certificate of Benjamin shows that he was born on 21 March 1846, which agrees with his age of 4 years in the 1850 Census. He was the son of William Kimball and Amanda Westbrook. His death certificate shows that he died of heart disease on 27 January 1924, Manceola, Antrim County, Michigan. He was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery, Fremont, Newaygo County, Michigan.

During the Civil War, he served in Company D, 27th Regiment of the Michigan Volunteer Infantry. Enlisted: 29 March 1864 at Grand Rapids, Kent Co., 27th Michigan Infantry; private. Mustered out: 26 July 1865 at Delaney House, Washington, D. C.

He was first married on 06 September 1863 to Lucy Mae Dickinson. He married 2nd on 03 July 1873 to Mrs. Lydia (David) Dorwin. He married (3rd) on 26 December 1911 to Alida Peterson, and they had a son Woodrow Wilson Kimball.
