The 1840 census in Skowhegan has a John Kimball, age between 60-70 (our John would have been about 65), with two females in the household, one age 60-70 (presumably his wife Beulah/Bulah), and one age 20-30 (a daughter?). There is a Joseph Kimball (age 30-40), a Peter Kimball (age 20-30), and a John Kimball Jr. (age 30-40) living nearby with their families.[2]
The 1850 census in Bloomfield, Somerset, Maine, has John, age 75, a farmer, born in Massachusetts, with Beulah (71, born in Mass), Peter (42, born in Maine), Sophia (50, born in NH), George A. (15, Maine), Giles (13, Maine), and Charles (12, Maine). [3]
