Nathaniel was probably born about 1816 (age 39 years in 1855), although his gravestone says 1813. Other census records indicate a birth year around 1815-1818, so the 1813 on the gravestone is probably wrong. He is the son of John Kimbell Sr. In the 1830 Census, Nathaniel is almost certainly the male aged 10-14 (no males are listed aged 15-19), yet more evidence that he was not born in 1813.
The 1855 New York State Census says he was 39 years old, born in Jefferson County, New York, and had been a resident of Alexandria for 3 years: https://www.ancestry.com/imageviewer/collections/7181/images/005207143_00116?pId=1654544227
