Helen Milvina Sthen

STHEN, Helen Melvina – Age 85 of Roseburg, Oregon passed away Wednesday, December 2, 1997 at a local care center. She was born November 10, 1912 in Trenton, New Jersey to Oliver and Helen (Barry) Kimble. She was united in marriage to Henry D. Sthen in Fallsington, Pennsylvania. Henry preceded her in death February 23, 1989. Helen was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, her family was her life. She was a wonderful cook and raised beautiful flowers. She enjoyed fishing and listening to the Blazers' games. Survivors include two sons Don Sthen and his wife Trudi of Gold Beach, Oregon and David Sthen and his wife Marty of Glide, Oregon; three sisters Grace Haldeman of Fallsington, Pennsylvania, Charlotte Ashmore of Saylorsburg, Pennsylvania and Marian June of Fallsington, Pennsylvania; two brothers, George W. Kimble of Fallsington, Pennsylvania and Robert W. Kimble of Morrisville, Pennsylvania; and three grandchildren Bert Sthen, Kelly Head and Lindsay Sthen. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and four brothers. At the family's request no services will be held. Wilson's Chapel of the Roses is in charge of arrangements.
