Biography

Johannes Kimmich was born on 6 June 1717 in Altdorf, Nürtingen, Württemberg, Germany, and was baptized the following day. His parents were J. Caspar Kimmich and his wife, Anna Maria. [1]

He married Anna Maria Kühner in Altdorf on 29 October 1743.[2] Their son Jacob was born in Altdorf on 5 December 1748 and baptized on 10 December.[3][4]

The family emigrated to America in 1754 or 1755.[5] They apparently settled in the vicinity of Albany, New York.
