Biography

Paul "Reed" Kincaid was born 16 February 1799 in Ohio, a son of Samuel and Sarah (Reed) Kincaid. (not to be confused with his nephew, Paul Reed Kincaid, also of Brown CO., OH, son of Matthew Kincaid.)

1830 Census--Paul R. Kincaid in Washington Twp., Brown Co., Ohio. 1 male in household, aged 30-39. Females: 2 (20-29) and 1 (30-39)

04 November 1850--Paul R Kincaid, a 50 year-old farmer, b. in Ohio, Also in the home: Ann Kincaid, aged 60, b. Pennsylvania (probable sister); Mary Kincaid -31, b. Ohio and Carey Kincaid-Male, aged 14, b. Ohio.

A marriage licence was granted to Paul R. Kincaid and Josephine McVay 18 October 1851. (JosephineCreed-McVay)

Paul R. Kincaid and Josephine Mcvay were married 15 Jan 1852 in Brown Co., Ohio. The marriage was solemnized by John Mauber (sp?) M. G.

10 July 1860--Eagle Twp.--Paul R Kincaid-60 and Josephine Kincaid-41. Mary Ellen Kincaid-7; Sarah A Kincaid-2; John Kincaid, five mos, old. Mary E Mcveigh-15; Ann Kincaid-69 and Robert Kincaid, aged 5.

04 August 1870--Enumerated as Reed "Kinkead," aged 69, born in OH. Children in his hh: Samuel-17; Robert-15 and Sarah, aged 12, all born in Ohio. They all lived and worked on the family farm in Fincastle, Eagle Twp., Brown Co., Ohio.
