Biography

Elizabeth King, daughter of Zachariah King and his wife Sarah "Suckey" Unknown, [1] was before 1770.[2]

She was married to Francis Bondurant. They lived in Claiborne County, Tennessee. They had the following children:

  • Susanna Bondurant (about 1790-1870), married Benjamin Cloud
  • Peter Bondurant (about 1790-1849) , married before 1827 to Rutha Bean
  • Leander Bondurant (about 1797-?) married Amelia Unknown
  • John Bondurant (about 1799-before 1830), married Mary Ann Unknown
  • Phillip Bondurant (1800-October 1838)
  • Greenzill Bondurant (1805-November 1854), married first unknown; married second 22 September 1850 to Eliza Cleveland
  • Richard Bondurant (15 November 1806-8 June 1875) married 14 January 1832 to Clarissa Newton
  • Hiram Bondurant (about 1818-?), married 27 January 1845 to Mary Elvira Hayes

On 26 June 1832, Frank Bundon and Elizabeth Bundon of Claiborne County, Tennessee, conveyed to Ruel Jackson of Surry County, North Carolina their undivided interest in a tract of land in Surry County, on the east side of Ararat River whereon Zachariah King decd. lately lived, being their undivided interest . . . in 600 acres more or less . . . for one hundred dollars . . .and costs. Frank signed as Franses Bundan; Elizabeth made her + mark. The next deed is John King of Surry County conveying his undivided interest in two tracts, being land whereon Zachariah King decd. and Suckey King lately lived and lives, being 800 acres, to Ruel Jackson.[1]

Research Notes

Removed Sally Stroud as mother. The Sarah Stroud that was the daughter of William Stroud and Elizabeth Estridge married William King in Orange county, North Carolina and had at least ten children by him.
