Biography

Roswell was born in 1781. He was the son of William and Hannah King.

Extract from his father's Last Will and Testament:

"(3) I give, and bequeath to the said Roswell King, all that part of my aforesaid farm, which lies north of the division line aforesaid; being that part of said farm on which the said Roswell now lives, together with the buildings thereon; also one-half of the aforesaid Meadow called Mut Meadow; being the north part of the same to have and hold; the same to him, the said Roswell, his heirs, and assignees forever, subject to the incumbrances of what I have before given to my beloved wife Hannah King.

I the said William King, have hereunto set my hand, and seal, to this my last will and testament, this seventh day of October, in the year of our Lord, one thousand, eight hundred and fourteen."

He married Mercy Moulton (1788-1859) in about 1806. They had at least 6 children.

Roswell was a farmer.
