Electa was born in 1842 in Bolton, Canada East, to William King and Olive Place.
On 2 July 1864, Electa married Jonathan Bailey of Potton. Electa's older sister Rosina had married Jonathan's older brother Alfred just 3 years prior.
Jonathan and Electa lived in Potton, Quebec for the first 16 years of marriage, having two children born there:
In 1880, Jonathan and Electa with the two children emigrated to the United States. His profession at that time is shown as "railroad man". They lived initially in Lynn, Massachusetts, then later in Holliston and neighbouring Hopkinton, Massachusetts (see census information on Jonathan's file).
Jonathan passed away in 1921 and was interred in Pine Grove Cemetery in Milford, Massachusetts. Electa survived him by 4 years then passed away in 1925 and was interred at his side.[1]
