A pretty wedding was celebrated yesterday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the home of Mrs. E. C. Woodbury, on Grace street, the happy and popular young couple being Miss Evelyn Lafayette Alexander, the talented daughter of Dr. L. L. Alexander, an influential practicing physician of Topsail Sound, and Mr. James Sidbury King, an efficient and valued employe of the Wilmington Street Railway, of this city.

The ceremony was impressively and very beautifully performed by Rv. John Stanly Thomas, after which an informal reception was given, at which refreshments were served to a few invited friends, who were present.

Mr. and Mrs. King will reside in Wilmington. 1

Funeral services for James Sidbury King, 80, will be held at 3 p.m. today at the Yopp funeral home wth the Rev. William Crowe Jr. and the Rev. C. C. Myers officiating. Interment will be in Topsail Presbyterian Church Cemetery near Hampstead. 1

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Alexander King; two sons, Dr. Roderick II., mannington, W. Va., and William II., Wilmington.

Active pallbearers will be Tom Murrell, Roger W. Hewlett, W. L. Bozeman, Albert J. Bergen, Donald L. Wagner, and John B. Allen. 1

Honorary pallbearers will be E. S. Piver, Dr. Harlee Bellamy, Dr. D. B. Sloan, Dr. Donald B. Koonce, David S. Harriss, Charles F. King, Charles Bergen and Walter E. Curtis.
