Biography

John King was born in East Farleigh, Kent, England in 1848.^[1] He was the son of Stephen King and Clarissa Waters. He came to Canada with his parents around 1853.

He married 1) Sarah Smith in Howick in 1871. He was a farmer in Albemarle Township. He married 2) Ellen Solton in Chesley in 1891.

John passed away in 1928 and was buried in Edgehill Cemetery, Wiarton, Bruce County. Cemetery office confirmed that this burial is unmarked.
