Howard was born in 1917. He is the son of William King and Rosa Lockwood. By 1920, the family was living in Alkire, Maricopa, Arizona, where his father was working as a farmer.[1]
In 1930, the family was living in Kansas City, Jackson, Missouri.[2] They were still in Kansas City in 1940. Howard was 23 and working as a laborer in a flour mill.[3]
Howard 's first wife was Mary Woodworth, who had three children from a previous marriage.
He married Mary Ann Greening on 2 Aug 1952. They had three children.
Howard passed away on 31 May 1979.
