St. Francis' Church was nicely decorated for the marriage yesterday morning of Eileen Agnes, second daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. A. King, of Anne Street, East Moree, to Mr. Michael Patrick Newman, of Silent Dale, Terry Hie Hie, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. J. Newman. The Rev. Father English officiated.
The bride, who was given away by her father, was attired in a charming dress of white taffeta, with silver lace trimmings. She wore a wreath and tulle veil, and carried a handsome bouquet and wore a diamond brooch, the gifts of the bridegroom.
The bride was attended by the Misses Winnie Newman (sister of the bridegroom) and Agnes King (sister or the bride) as bridesmaids. Both wore pale blue silk lace over georgette, with touches of pink. Each curried beautiful bouquets and wore gold wristlet watches, the gifts of the bridegroom.
Little Sheila King (cousin of the bride) was train-bearer. She was attired in a frock of pink crepe de chene, and wore a gold armlet, the gift of the bridegroom.
The bride's gift to the bridegroom was a travelling suit case.
Mr. P. King (brother of the bride) was best man, and Mr. Con. Sheridon (uncle of the bridegroom) was groomsman.
The Wedding Breakfast was held in the supper room of the Moree Memorial Hall, Mrs. King receiving her guests in a dress of vieux rose charmelaine with silk trimmings of the same shade, and hat to tone.
The Rev. Father English presided, and the usual toasts were honored.
In the afternoon the young couple left by car for Sydney en route for Melbourne and Tasmania, where the honeymoon will be spent, the bride travelling in a dress of natier blue crepe de chene, with hat to match.
Mr. and Mrs. Newman's future home will be at Silent Dale, Terry Hie Hie. [2]

NEWMAN. - Requiem Mass for the repose of the soul of the late Mrs EILEEN AGNES NEWMAN will be celebrated in Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Oxford Street, Epping, tomorrow (Wednesday) morning, commencing at 9 o'clock.
The funeral will leave the church after mass for the Catholic Cemetery, Northern Suburbs. [6]
