Biography

Samuel was born in 1874. He was the son of Samuel King and Sallie Elmore.

He passed away in 1936. At the time of his death, he was a farmer with a Blackridge, Virginia, address. He died from complications from treatment for emphysema in a Richmond, Virginia, hospital.[1] He is interred in Olive Branch Baptist Cemetery in Blackridge, Virginia.[2]


Notes

His birthdate is different on his death certificate from that on his birth certificate. The birth certificate reads January 10, 1874, while his birth date on the death certificate reads January 26, 1875. The listing for parents and birthplace are consistent. Another difference is with the middle name. The birth certificate lists his middle name as "Mark." The death certificate says his middle name is "Marks."
