Biography
Bethany King is a part of US Black heritage.
Bethany was born around 1812 in Rappahannock, Virginia, the daughter of Tobias and Susan King.[1]
Her death record stated that she was "not lawfully married." I am assuming this meant, she never married. I am unsure if she had a committed partner that was the father of her children or several partners. She never had a partner living in her household in the census records.[1]

In the 1870 census Buhamy (age 60) was the head of household in Jeffersonton, Culpeper, Virginia, United States.[7]
In the 1880 census Behana (age 60), Keeping House, was the single head of household in Jeffersonton, Culpeper, Virginia, United States.[8]
Bethany died (age 75) on 15 December 1887 in Culpeper, Virginia.[1]
