William King gives deposition stating that he was placed on the Pension Roll in Montgomery, VA, then moved to Indiana.[11]

Death:

William King died before 1850 in Washington County, Indiana. He is buried in Mount Zion Cemetery in Salem.[1]

william is believed to of served in the revolutionary war under capt. grey,,watkins & webb, virginia service...proof : pension s.32364,Virginia. pension transferred from va. to Washington co. ind. sept 1,1837. dar no.481292.......1840 census of pensioners....page 63 roster soldiers & patriots of the revolutionary war buried in Indiana vol.11......indiana agency rolls,,,,William king ,private # 23764 apr.4,1834,,,,,William king enlisted in Bedford co.virginia in 17778 as guard of the lead mines in wythe,under capt,robert adams & col.charles lynch.,,he went as a substitute for his father aura king ,,William served under nathanial State,,,and marched to join gen.gates at charlotte,n.c....discharged at banister bridge,,the following august king volunteered under col.benjamin logan to guard the kentucky frontier.
