Luther was born about 1897 to Elhanan King and Belle Pinson[1]. During World War I, he served as a private in the U. S. Army[2][3][4]. He passed away in 1981 and is buried at the Sandlick Creek Cemetery in Whitesburg, Letcher County, Kentucky[3].
