Susannah King, the daughter of James King and Nancy Lewis,was born about 1837, in Wilkes NC.. The family soon relocated to Claiborne Tennessee,  where on 29 July 1855, Susannah married Mathias Croe Roach, after the death of his wife in child birth, becoming mother of the infant Drury and his brother William Temple. The birth locations on census records, shows the family living in Kentucky before settling in Indiana, while seven more children joined the family Susannah and Mathias ended their marriage. and Mathias married Rhetta Edwards in 1874. Susannah passed away in 1890.
