Biography

Cora Belle Kingery was born to Martin Kingery and Mary J. Hughes in 1877 in Illinois.^{[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9]}

December 14, 1898, Cora Belle was married to John Bynum Farmer in Melvern, Kansas, where they seem to have lived out the rest of their lives.^[10] Together, they had three daughters that lived to adulthood: Elsie H. Farmer, Tressa L. Farmer, and Bernice L. Farmer. Elsie was born around November 1899 in Osage County, Kansas.^[3] Tressa was born around 1904^[4] and Bernice was born around 1913^[6], presumably also in Osage County.

After 1920, her mother-in-law, Martha, had moved to live with them until her death in 1925. At least from 1935 through 1940, Tressa was living with John and Cora Belle, along with her husband Samuel Buchannan and son Austin W. Buchanan.^[9]

Cora Belle died in 1961, and was buried next to John in Melvern Cemetary, where they share a gravestone.^[2]
