Obit: "Elias Kingsley was born in 1835 in Diana County (sic), New York, and at the age of eleven years he came with his parents to Racine, this state, and to Juneau County in 1852 where he was united in marriage with Miss Martha A. White of this place. Ten children were born to them six of whom are living as follows: Ransom, Mrs. John Searles, Mrs. Otto Moeckel, Mrs. G.M. Willard, Edward and Grover, the two latter living at home with their mother. Mr. Kingsley has been a sufferer for the past eighteen years with kidney and heart trouble, and since June last has been confined almost entirely to this house. These diseases, together with lung trouble terminated his life on Tuesday, the 8th last. The funeral was held from his home on Thursday last and after a good address by Mrs. Edna Ford, the remains were conveyed to their final resting place in Pine Eden Cemetery. Mr. Kingsley was one of the oldest settlers of this vicinity and was an honest, industrious farmer having followed that vocation all his life. He had realized for some time that his end was rapidly approaching and had made every preparation for it. His family have lost a loving husband and father and the community a good neighbor and citizen. He had many warm friends who will join his family in their deep sorrow." [1]
