Robert was born in 1924. He was the son of Bert Kingston and Mable Cross. He killed in 1940 in an Interurban accident.[1]

Death of 15-year old Robert Kingston, who was killed at 9:30 this morningas he leaned from a Vancouver-bound B.C.E. Railway tram on Clark Drive,near Frances Street, and was struck by a southbound street car, brought to a tragic close a Sunday Scool picnic on which he was going.
He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert H. Kingston, 3961 Elsom Ave,Burnaby.
Kingston died before the horrified eyes of fifteen youngsters fromHenderson Sunday School, Burnaby, who were on their way to spend theholiday at Lynn Valley. The party was in charge of Mrs. William Smith, Price Street, Burnaby.
Died Instantly: The boy's head was terribly shattered. Taken to the General Hospital by Exclusive Ambulance, he was pronounced dead uponarrival.
Only actual witness of tje accident was Kingston's cjim, Vharles Freeman,13, of 2419 Nelson Acve, who was chatting with his pal seconds before he died.
"We had just stepped back into the rear vestibule," said Charles. "I was sitting on a stool just behind the rear vestbule and Robert was standing leaning against the window sill."
"He put his head out of the left window and just as he did so a streetcar passed and struck him. He was knocked on to the floor of the vestibule. His head was terribly wounded. All I could see was blood."[2]
