Will
Michael may have signed his will on 5 May 1826 in Montgomery County, Virginia. No source for date of signing as yet. The will was entered into probate in Nov 1835 in Montgomery County, Virginia. Named children: John, Katherine, Phillip, Michael, Susanna, Elizabeth, George, Christian and Jacob and wife, Hester.[3]
Burial
Michael was buried in the Kinzer-Broce Cemetery located in Montgomery County, Virginia.[4]
Notes
Michael first came to Montgomery County in 1803, when he purchased 263 acres on Tom's Creek, including the mill from John McDonald. Over the next few years, he purchased many tracts of land in the Tom's Creek neighborhood.
Research Notes
The transcription of the will probate record that I found is not clear on whether the wife, Hester, is meant to be his wife, Esther, or the wife of Jacob as the record states Children: John, Katherine, Phillip, Michael, Susanna, Elizabeth, George, Christian and Jacob and wife, Hester.[3] The only record that I found for a marriage of a Jacob Kinser was on 2 Feb 1829 iin Montgomery County to a Rebecca Bane. As the will may have been written in 1826, I do not know the marital status of Jacob at that time. I am guessing that Jacob was unmarried in 1826 as there is a much earlier entry for a George Kinser who married a Catherine Wampler on 28 Dec 1786 so he had apparently not been married by 1826 in Montgomery, Floyd, Pulaski, and Giles Counties .[5] I also looked for any entries in the Botetourt County records and found none for Jacob (or Micuhael).BJS]
Marker on grave lists 24 Jun 1826 as Michael's death date (unsourced). I have sent the memorial manager a copy of the source and the transcription that they can post if they like. BJS[4]

DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Michael by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Michael:
Kinzer-273 and Kinzer-257 appear to represent the same person because: this is part of a 3-generation merge. same birth year, son John on both profiles (in process of merge), granddaughter Rebecca (in process of merge), same death year. Thank you for reviewing, Teresa (WikiTree Arborist)
