Biography

William Henry Kirby was born on 26 Jan 1889 to William Henry Kirby and Laura Virginia Magaha. He had a 5th grade education and at was a presser at a tobacco factory.[1][2] In April of 1913 his eldest brother Howard Lee was convicted of murdering their father William Henry Senior when they came to blows over their father reporting Howard's unlicensed dog to police. Howard spent less than six months in jail before being pardoned.[3] William became a welder in the Baltimore dry docks and married Minnie Otter some time around 1916.[4] They had two daughters, Mae E and Kathleen Virginia.[5] Minnie died in 1950 and William in May of 1963. They are buried together at the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Brooklyn Park, Maryland.[6]
