In 1891 John was living in Hillmorton, Rugby, a hawker of earthernware, aged 58, living with his wife Ellen (aged 57, born Coleshill, Warwickshire) and children Hannah (16 Frederick (13) both born Hillmorton [4].
In 1901, Joseph, Ellen and Mary A. Kirby his granddaughter (aged 10, born Greasley Derbyshire) were living in Hillingdon. Joseph was living on his own means [5].
