Biography
Joseph, son of Joseph and Hannah Kirby was baptised at Packington, Leicestershire on 23 August 1835. His father was a miller [1]. His ?twin brother John was baptised at the same time [2].
In 1871 Joseph (38, born Ashby, Leicestershire) and Ellen (36, born Longton Staffordshire) were living in Hillmorton, Warwickshire, with his sons Joseph(17, born Monmouthshire, Ellen (born Nuneaton, Warwickshire), John Kirby, Thomas (9), Harriate (sic, 4) and Rosanna (2), all born Hillmorton [3]
In 1891 John was living in Hillmorton, Rugby, a hawker of earthernware, aged 58, living with his wife Ellen (aged 57, born Coleshill, Warwickshire) and children Hannah (16 Frederick (13) both born Hillmorton [4].
In 1901, Joseph, Ellen and Mary A. Kirby his granddaughter (aged 10, born Greasley Derbyshire) were living in Hillingdon. Joseph was living on his own means [5].
