Edward Kirk was born about 1692 in Virginia. He married Ann () and had a son Henry and a daughter Jemima. He married after 29 March 1727 to a widow, Ann (Reynolds) Hardwick the widow of Joseph Hardwick. In his will he left one mare to Jemima, a horse to Henry and the remaining estate to his wife and two children.
