I noticed that you entered your birthdate in the 2010s, but as I look at your tags and the fact that you took a DNA test, I'm guessing that you are probably older than 17. :-)
If you're interested in remaining more private, it might help to know that when you have a privacy level stronger than Green, only the decade of your birthdate will show to the public.
Also, we do have a minimum age of 13 here. So, if you leave your b-date the way it is, you may get questions from others as you become more involved.
I'm happy to confirm your membership, but please consider adjusting your date. :-)
One of the best ways to start finding your way around is the link in the email you just got! :-)
That link will take you to a page that will give you some great tips on getting started.
WikiTree is a bit different than other genealogy websites because our goal is to have one profile per person. This means we share ancestors and work together as a BIG collaborative team on the same family tree!
I see you volunteered before I could properly greet you. Thank you! I'll be right back to confirm your membership.
Be sure to read How to Use Wikitree. It's full of information to get you started.
Also, our G2G forum is a great way to get to know our community. Join the fun with our Question of the Week: What do you do when you find a "black sheep?"
Once you get settled, take a look at the Volunteers Needed page. It lists all the great ways to help out our collective effort.
Well check back with you in a couple of days to see how things are going. Meanwhile, enjoy getting to know WikiTree!
Julie
