Biography

George was born about 1837. He passed away about 1905. He was the son of Alexander and Sarah Jane Kirk.

In the 1850 census George (age 13) was in Division 9, Greene, Tennessee, United States.[1]

George worked as a carpenter in Rheatown, Tennessee (GCGS Pioneer Vol 9 No 1, May 1993).

He married Louisa Jones 28 Feb 1860 in Greene County, Tennessee.[2] He and Louisa are found in Greene County for the 1860 Census.[3]

By 1870 they were in Washington County, Tennessee. Their sons were John A. Kirk b 1861 and William Kirk b 1865.[4]
