Biography
Tom KIRKHAM was born in 1849 in Ashbourne, Derbyshire, England[1] and was christened on 10 February 1850 in Parwich, Derbyshire[2]. He is the son of [[Kirkham-1348|John KIRKHAM and Sarah POTTER.
The ship, Delta set sail from Plymouth, England on 4 August 1850 with the KIRKHAM family among the cabin passengers and arrived in Port Adelaide, Province of South Australia on 31 October 1850[3][4]. The KIRKHAM family consisted of John, his wife, Sarah and their surviving children, John, Mary and Tom. Also on board were John's widowed, mother, Esther, siblings, Elisabeth, Ellen, Christina, Esther, William, Samuel and Sarah, her husband, Charles Staley KEELING and their children.
Elizabeth BAYLY and Tom KIRKHAM were married on 9 January 1878 at the Congregational Church, North Adelaide, Colony of South Australia[5].

He passed away on 7 March 1932 in Adelaide, South Australia, Australia[8] and was buried at the Ashbourne Cemetery[9].
