Obituary
Our dear beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, Burdette Alton Kirkham, 82, passed away February 10, 1995 in Salt Lake City, Utah. He was born March 22, 1912 in Ucon, Idaho, the son of Mable Lenora Woolf and Hyrum R. Kirkham. He married his sweetheart, Leone Wayman, February 21, 1948 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He served as a staff sergeant in the U.S. Army during World War II in the European Theater near Foggia, Italy. His greatest passion was his family, supporting, sustaining, and loving each one. He was an avid cheerleader observing his grandchildren in all they did, whether sports or dance. He was always there. His great love of the out of doors penetrated our hearts and gave us a true understanding of Our Heavenly Father's plan. His quiet strength will always direct us. He served as High Priest and a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. A special thank you to the doctors, nurses, and friends who attended our beloved one at the ICU at Cottonwood Hospital.
Survived by his angel wife, Leone; his children, Val (Ingrid) Kirkham, Marvin J. (Carolyn) Kirkham, and Marlene Kirkham; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Also survived by his brother, E. Dale Kirkham; many nieces and nephews.
