Mary Ann was born in 1839 in Prince Edward Island or New Brunswick.[3] She was the daughter of John Kirkland and Elizabeth Weeks.[4]

Mary Ann married Thomas Morris on May 3, 1860.[5]

In 1881, the family was living in Wakefield, Carleton County, NB.

She passed away in 1922.
