Rebecca is assumed to be the child of John Kirkland and Elizabeth Sarah Weeks. She married Joseph A. McLeod, on November 2, 1854.[1][2] She was married at the same time as John W. Kirkland.[3] They were likely siblings, but this is not confirmed.
Rebecca died on May 11, 1857, at the age of 22 days, 8 months, 4 days.[4] Based on this, her calculated date of birth is September 7, 1834.
