Biography
James Kirkman was born about 1838 in Radcliffe, Lancashire.
James married Sarah Boardman on 21 May 1865 at St Mary's Church in Radcliffe, Lancashire. Both were 27 years old and lived in Radcliffe, and neither had been married before. James was a packer. Their fathers were named as Henry Kirkman (printer) and James Boardman (crofter). The witnesses were Charles Kirkman and Richard Fielding.
Their son James Henry Kirkman was born in 1866 in Radcliffe, Lancashire.[1] He was christened on 16 May 1866 at St Mary's Church in Radcliffe, Lancashire.[2]
Their son Thomas was christened on 23 Nov 1870 at St Mary's Church in Radcliffe, Lancashire.[3]
