Biography

James was born in 2 Dec 1829 in Abbeville, South Carolina and died 5 Feb 1911 in Chilton, Falls County, Texas. [1]

James was first married to Sarah Ellen Moore and they had two children Janus Victoria Kirkpatrick and John A Kirkpatrick. [2] James was second married to Elizabeth E King on 14 Jul 1864 [3] and they had three children William Clarence Kirkpatrick (b 1866 d 1939), Arthur B Kirkpatrick (b 1870 d 1923) and Romulas R (RR) Kirkpatrick (b 1875 d 1895).

No record has been found for any other children of James. Census record for 1900 lists William A Kirkpatrick, along with Rosa Kirkpatrick living in the residence with him. WA is listed a son and Rosa as daughter-in-law. WA is the son of James' brother William Pinkney Kirkpatrick. [4]
