Thomas Kirkpatrick is/was a significant Ontarian .

Thomas Kirkpatrick, born in 1805, was the fourth son of Alexander Kirkpatrick and Marianne Sutton. In 1829, he married Helen, the daughter of Alexander Fisher, a judge of the Midland District of Upper Canada. They had five sons and three daughters.

Kirkpatrick, a lawyer, served as Kingston, Ontario's second mayor and was a Member of Parliament for Frontenac in the first dominion parliament.

He died in 1870 and was buried at Cataraqui Cemetery, Kingston.
