William Elliott and Nancy Kirkpatrick of Crosshill, Killead, County Antrim ... lived [there] from at least 1851 ... until their deaths in the late 1890s/early 1900s. In all William and Nancy had five daughters (Jane, Eliza, Margaret, Anna, Sarah) and six sons (Joshua, James, William John, Thomas, Hugh Robert, David). Four of them (Jane, Eliza, James, Hugh Robert) emigrated to Australia, while the rest remained in Ireland[1].
Maiden Name
My reference for Nancy (Kirkpatrick) Elliott's maiden name was the death records of her four children who emigrated to Australia[2] ... The record for the eldest daughter Jane Jury[3] who died in 1904 gives her name as Annie Kilpatrick (her father is shown as Wm Miller, although I believe this was a typo somewhere along the line), the record for second daughter Eliza McNeice[4] who died in 1917 shows her as Ann Kirkpatrick, the record for second son James Kirkpatrick Elliott[5] who also died in 1917 shows her as Anna Kirkpatrick and the record for fifth son Hugh Robert Elliott who died in 1931 gives her name as Nancy Kirkpatrik[6] ...
Kilpatrick and Kirkpatrick are common alternative spellings of the same surname (perhaps because Kill means church in Irish, while Kirk means church in Scottish English), while Nancy is commonly used as a pet name for Ann/Annie/Anna. I have a variety of other records that link the four siblings together and to the family in Ireland, so am confident that all four records refer to the same person.

DNA Support
Of [her daughter] Sarah's children, Annie Doherty married James Loughlin and had six children (Sarah, Arthur, James, Bella, John, Joseph). I have been in touch with her great great granddaughter whose father Stephen Gillespie showed up as a DNA match with me on FamilyTreeDNA and GEDMatch. Deborah married Henry Campbell (your [Brad Foley's] great grandparents?), Ellen married William Clark and Joseph married Annie Gilmore[1].
My grandfather Joshua Elliott (son of Joshua Sr) moved to County Meath in the early 1900s, where he married Edith Mortimer. Their son Alan married my mother Rosamund Pigott, also in County Meath. It would appear that Joshua Jr was a first cousin of Deborah Doherty, which would (assuming you are her great grandson) make us third cousins once removed.
As a matter of interest, I checked on GEDMatch and found that we have a small DNA match (about 7cM), which we also share with Brian Foley (your father?). I note that you and he also share significant DNA matches with Stephen Gillespie. All these results would seem to be consistent with what I have found from my research.

However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.
It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Nancy:
