Obituary: HERMAN A. KIRSCH

Herman A. Kirsch, 82, of Nicktown died Saturday, June 27, 1987, at Lee Hospital. He was born July 9, 1904, in Nicktown, a son of the late Andrew S. and Amelia Ager Kirsch.

Preceding him in death were brothers: Edwin, Alcuin, Walter, Herbert, Harold and Homer; and sisters: Demetria Dumm, Esther Dumm and Aline Duman.

Surviving are his widow, the former Catherine Kritzer, to whom he was married for nearly 56 years; and children: Sister Celine, RSM, Guyana, South America; Shirley, wife of Charles McNulty, Nicktown; Marjorie, wife of Paul Smego, Cleveland, Ohio; Ronald, Shelfield Lake, Ohio; Reginald, Elyria, Ohio; Maxine, wife of Michael Bender, Brook Park, Ohio; Zelda, wife of Thomas Ochocki, Parma, Ohio; Fr. Myron, OSB, St. Vincent's, Latrobe; and Marilyn, Lawrence, Mass.

There are also 29 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He was a brother of Ruth Duman, Latrobe; Alma DeWilliams, Camden, N.J.; Clair, Clearfield; Sister M. Consuella, RSM, Cresson; Merle, Carrolltown; William and Marlin, Nicktown.

He was a member of St. Nicholas Holy Name Society and was a retired employee of the Cambria and Indiana Railroad with 37 years of service.

Friends were received at the John R. Easly Funeral Home, Spangler. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday at St. Nicholas Church, Nicktown, by the Rev. Myron Kirsch, OSB. Interment followed at the church cemetery.
