Hello Connie,

How are you doing? Hope you're enjoying our site.

Our vision is to build a collaborative tree. Please make sure to look for duplicates on WikiTree before adding a profile. Having dates and locations attached to every person assists in our mission as well.

Feel free to check out How To Use WikiTree. It's a great step-by-step guide.

Also Help Index with links to topics you may have questions on. Don't forget our G2G Forum where many of our generous members help each other out.

And of course, I'm here to help in any way I’m able. Just ask!

I have been researching both sides of my family line for the past 7 or 8 years. Access to information is becoming more accessible which has been a great help. I have used Ancestry, Myheritage and other genealogy searches, as well as done plenty of leg work, visiting cemeteries, the library and family gatherings. I have run into many walls but hope to continue using all possible resources to continue my quest. With over 1800 entries in my tree, I have become my families go to person for information. Once colleagues or friends find out about my work on genealogy they ask me how to get started and I point them to the many avenues I have used. I am hopeful that WikiTree will be another wonderful resource for my research.

I noticed you uploaded a GEDCOM. Here's a link to a great step-by-step of the process including screenshots that you might find helpful.

The help pages give lots of information about the process, best to start with 'Before you import a GEDCOM'.
