He was a miller and worked for his father for many years.[1] He later purchased 112 acres of land in Spring Township for farming, which was divided into four portions for his children at his death.[1] This would infer that there was at least another child, besides those named above, who survived him. The Annals of Berks County names a daughter, Eliza, who married Charles Powell.[1]
He was buried in Kissingers Cemetery, Wyomissing, Berks County,Pennsylvania.[2] The inventory of his estate was taken 28 May 1860 by Henry Kissinger and Jacob Muinner [illeg.].[3] It was accepted by executor, Abraham M. Kissinger and filed 22 August 1860.[3]
