Biography
At age 14, as Watson Kitchen, he was enumerated in the household of his father Frank Kitchen in Warren County, Georgia. Frank Kitchen was age 44 b Georgia; he was married to Burnice Kitchen age 31 b Georgia; other children were Annie L Kitchen age 17, Carlos W Kitchen age 12, Rosa M Kitchen age 9 and Eliza O Kitchen, age 5.[1]
Thomas W Kitchens was age 34 and single when he was enumerated in the 1920 Census for Wise County, Virginia.[2]
Thomas married Mary Louise Pruitt 1920 in Abbeville, South Carolina.[3] Married 10 June 1920 in Anderson, South Carolina.[4]
His 1930 residence was Browns Creek, McDowell, West Virginia. He was a railroad agent, age 44. He was first married at age 32 years. His wife was age 32, first married at age 22, born in South Carolina. Their son Thomas W Kitchens was age 6, born in West Virginia; daughter Mary A Kitchens was age 4, born in Virginia; twin sons Ralph P Kitchens and Ray H Kitchens were age 1.[5]
Thomas W Kitchens was age 54 in 1940. An additional child was Opal Ann Kitchens, age 6.[6]
