Biography

Thomas Jefferson Kitchens was born to James Riley Kitchens and Matilda Hill in Georgia. While young the family relocated to Louisiana and then Arkansas. After being married to Mary E. Morgan the couple settled in the Choctaw Nation, Indian Territory in the area that became Haskell County, Oklahoma. They were the parents of four children:

  1. Ellie (Bolt) 1874-1964
  2. Lizzie (Jones) 1878-?
  3. Callie (Prentice) 1882-1976
  4. Ozella (Sherley) 1885-1970
