I have found some information out on Trove for Mary Kitchen (Kitchin). She passed away on 5th May 1912. Her parents were Thomas and Mary Kitchen, of Mount Morgan. The source of this information is a memoriam message printed in the Morning Bulletin Rockhampton on Friday May 5th 1916. Could this profile please be updated with this information in her family tree? Mary is my mother's grandmother. I know from family stories that she was a fine horsewoman, winning awards for her riding, and that her death was caused by two drunk louts jumped out of bushes, frightening the horse on a notoriously steep road in Red Hill, Mount Morgan. It shied, fell down a ravine, taking pregnant Mary with it. Her death resulted from labor brought on by accident. My grandfather was 4yo. at the time of her death. The child, a boy, died a few days after birth.
