Biography

William was the son of Frederick & Sarah (Burger) Kittle of Middletown, Delaware County, NY. His birth and marriage are estimated and were found on an Ancestry Public Tree. ^[1]

On the 1830 U. S. Census, William and Margaret Kittle were living next to William's brothers, Frederick and Jeremiah.

His death date has been estimated as before 1840 because Margaret was shown living by herself at the time. A local ledger book entry suggests he was "deceased April 16, 1844" but it's possible it is also the day his widow paid the account. ^[2]

His burial place is unknown, but his grave could be marked by one of the many field stones in the Dimmick/Kittle Cemetery in Middletown, Delaware, NY.
