Biography

Funeral services for Mrs. Rhea Smith, daughter of Mrs. E. J. Kitts of 952 Saxon and sister of four other Memphians, were held yesterday, April 14, at Brookhaven, MS, with burial in Rosehill Cemetery there. Order of the Eastern Star services were held at the grave.

Mrs. Smith died Friday, April 12, while visiting her daughter in Pinehill, TX. A resident of Jackson, MS, she was a member of the Baptist Church, Radiant Chapter of O.E.S. and the Woman's Benefit Association.

Besides her mother, Mrs. Smith's survivors include two daughters, Mrs. J.R. Parsons of Canton, MS and Mrs. C.E. Tillery of Pinehill, TX; three brothers, D.D. Kitts, E.D. Kitts and W.H. Kitts, and a sister, Mrs. Bart Strong, all of Memphis.
