She enjoyed barn dances with her brother Raymond on the fiddle. She met Theophile at a dance. She married Theophile Ferdinand George LaBrie on 28 November 1905 in her hometown. They farmed all their lives. They had two children during their marriage and twin daughters who died at birth. She died on 25 December 1988 in Redfield, South Dakota, USA, at the age of 103, and was buried in Turton, South Dakota, USA.
Excerpt from Turton Centennial Book: "Following Theophile’s death, Louise remained on the farm until the fall of 1948 when she moved into an apartment in
Doland. She resided there until ill health came upon her and she became a resident of the James Valley Nursing Home in Redfield."[1]
