Robert Justus Kleberg Jr. was the son of emigrant father Robert Justus and Rosalie (Von Roeder) Kleberg. His birth was Dec 5, 1853 in DeWitt County, Texas, USA.[1]
He graduated with a law degree from University of Virginia in 1880. Upon opening a law practice in Cuero, he later moved to Corpus Christi, Texas where Richard King became a client.. [2]Following the death of Richard King, his wife, Henrietta King asked Kleberg to become manager of the King Ranch. She retained her ownership.[2]
