Hi Diane

Welcome back to WikiTree thanks for signing the Honor Code,  I hope you discover as much about your family as I have about mine over the last several years.

There have been some changes so you may wish to check out the How to Pages Click here for some quick tips on working with both the Wiki pages and our other members. There is some great information in these pages.

If you have questions about how WikiTree works, let me know and I will find answers. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page. Or ask your questions in our G2G forum Click Here    Janet ~ WikiGreeter

Hi!

Just checking in with a few quick tips:

Looking to make more connections or find more information about an ancestor but not sure how to do that? Try categorizing your profiles.

Not sure what to put into a biography? Here are some Bio Ideas. Also, make sure that the biographies match WikiTree’s Styles and Standards.

If you come across an unresponsive manager, we have a process for those unfortunate situations.

If you have any questions, please ask!!

Hi Diane, I see that you just volunteered and signed our honor code. That's great! Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically significant ancestors? I see you have surnames for tags. Why don't you stop by the One Name Studies project, to see if there's already a name study for (surname) going on? The current leaders for that are Doug Lockwood and Alison Andrus. They would be happy to get you started.

Let me know if you need any help! We're glad to have you on board!!

Hi Diane,

Thanks for completing the tags indicating you wish to research/document your family history. I have found WikiTree to be an excellent tool for research and collaboration. You are now a confirmed member of the WikiTree! Thank you for volunteering.

Visit our WikiTree Community Membership page to see all the benefits of being a member.

Have fun and ask for help if you need it! WikiTree members are always eager to offer guidance to a fellow genealogist.

Our Mentor Team are a friendly bunch of volunteers who will be glad to help you with specific problems if you have any.

Great to have you on board and good luck growing your branches.

Hi Diane,

A warm welcome to the WikiTree family! The initial email from us has helpful links that will get you started on WikiTree, which is not like any genealogy site you’ve ever used and it is FREE. WikiTree is different because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we all work together as a BIG collaborative team!

What brings you to WikiTree? Do you have research you’d like to share? Are you interested in how your family fits into the big tree? When you confirm your email address, you’ll have an opportunity to volunteer and tell us about your genealogical interests.

Once you volunteer, one of our Greeters will be happy to confirm your membership, and you’ll be on your way!

We’re really glad you’re here. More importantly, have fun growing your family tree and connecting to persons with the same interest.

Ludwig :)
