Biography
Lillian M. Queen, 71, Grainfield, died May 14, at her home. Mrs. Queen was born March 31, 1916 in Wichita County. She had been a resident of Grainfield for 32 years. She was a homemaker and a former 4-H project leader. She was a member of the St. Agnes Catholic Church, Christian Mothers, Big Creek EHU, American Legion Auxiliary, Senior Citizens and Hospice Volunteers, all of Grainfield. Survivors include her husband, Herbert A. of the home; three sons, Herbert F., Henry A. and Leonard J.; three daughters, Edna M. Queen, Freda R. Hunt and Sylvia A. Tanner; her mother Mary Bauk Kleymann; five sisters, Dorothy Bourquin, Isabel Bedsloe, Evelyn May, Margaret Greer and Edna Rogers; 13 grandchildren; and five great-grand children. The funeral was 10 a.m. Monday at the St. Agnes Catholic Church, Grainfield, the Rev. William Killian officiating. Burial in the Grainfield Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lillian Queen 4-H Memorial Fund. Koster Funeral Home, Oakley was in charge. (Grinnell Town & Country, Wed. May 20, 1987 Edited)
